Note that the Polish public broadcaster (Telewizja Polska) will host Junior Eurovision 2020 for the second time in a row.

It will be recalled that last year Ukraine was represented at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest by Sofia Ivanko with the song The Spirit of Music. Ukraine will also take part in the Junior Eurovision 2020. The national selection, which will take place online, will be announced at the beginning of the summer.

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest was held for the first time in 2003. Since then, a total of 39 countries have taken part. For 14 years of participation in the competition, Ukraine won: first place in 2012 – Anastasia Petryk, 2008 and 2013 second places – Victoria Petryk and Sofia Tarasova, respectively, fourth place in 2018 – Daryna Krasnovetska, in 2009 fifth place – Andranik Aleksanyan.
